The ZB‑detektIIIF is a browser Plug-In that automatically detects IIIF‑compliant resources and thus facilitates the collection of digital images (IIIF manifests). It creates so‑called IIIF collections in JSON‑LD format.

Installation in Chrome

1. Click Get detektIIIF
2. Click "Add to Chrome"

3. Confirm by clicking "Add Extenstion"

4. Pin the ZB-detektIIIF to your browser

Installation in Edge

Most Chrome extensions can also be used in Microsoft Edge, as both browsers are based on Chromium.

How to install the Chrome extension in Edge:

1. Open Edge & navigate to Extensions: Open Microsoft Edge, click on the three-dot menu (•••) and select Extensions > Manage extensions.
2. Enable other stores: On the extension management page, find the option "Allow extensions from other stores" (usually at the bottom left) and enable it.
3. Click Get detektIIIF
4. Click "Add to Chrome" in the Chrome Web Store
5. Confirm by clicking "Add Extension"
6. Pin the detektIIIF to your browser bar

Installation in Firefox

1. Click Get detektIIIF
2. Click "Add to Firefox"

3. Click "Add"

4. The ZB‑detektIIIF is now pinned to your browser.

Detect and collect IIIF‑conform resources

IIIF‑conform digital resources are automatically detected by the
ZB‑detektIIIF.

By clicking "Add to basket" you can add the resource to your IIIF
collection.

Click "Mirador Viewer" to open your IIIF collection in the
Mirador Viewer by Zentralbibliothek Zürich.
